Our client is a world renowned Paris-based Venture capital company. Currently, they seek to expand their team by adding an investment professional in the rank of Principal to their team. The successful candidate will be an experienced venture capital investment professional with track record of investments in energy (renewables) or internet/digital, smart devices companies.

Responsibilities:

Research and review the market in search of new applicable investment opportunities
Present new investment opportunities to the investment committee
Monitor portfolio of existing investments
Reviewing financial and other information received from portfolio companies;
Preparing quarterly portfolio reports and valuations
Reviewing financial and other information received from portfolio companies;
Play an active part in a management of portfolio companies. Support management teams of portfolio management companies
Preparation of financial models to evaluate investment returns, cash flow and working capital requirements
Assume full control of due diligence; Preparation of Investment Papers;
Lead preparing and structuring exits out of investments
Participate in day to day management of the Fund, including: Maintaining various databases, Assist in the review and preparation of call down notices and other fund accounting tasks

Requirements:

Venture Capital / Private Equity experience for 5 – 6 years OR VC funded start up at a C level
Strong experience / knowledge of Energy OR Digital Smart Technologies Ventures market preferred
Excellent project management, communication, financial analysis and modelling skills
Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment to plan and manage a variety of projects and meet deadlines
Commercial Insight
Ability to thrive under ambiguity and demonstrate creativity and intellectual flexibility in an uncertain and rapidly changing environment
MBA or Masters degree in tech related field
Undergraduate degree from a leading university in the United States or Europe
Native or at least Fluent levels of French, Fluent English
Strong Private Equity background with a prominent institution
