Responsibilities:
Controlling and close monitoring of the group's asset management delegated via mandates to the external asset managers and guarantee their compliance at all times to our Investment Strategy and Policy
Continuous monitoring of the performance and evolution of the portfolios (bonds, equities, real estate, alternative classes, including hedging with derivatives), costs related to asset management activities (asset managers, custodian bank, hedging), and supervision of the quantitative and qualitative performance of the external managers
Establishment of the various investment reporting including performance analysis for the internal and external control bodies, including regulators, as well as group's Top Management, and participate in their continuous improvement
Development and optimization of IT tools for reporting and monitoring of the investment performance incl. performance attribution, risk control, solvency analysis as well as compliance
Ensuring the due diligence of the investment process of the asset managers and the selection of the various financial instruments, incl. bonds, investment funds and alternatives, as well as related controlling processes (monitoring of credit risks, hedges, etc.)
Coordination and close collaboration with the custodian bank and external asset managers within a permanent quality and reliability improvement process
Requirements:
You hold a degree of ETHZ, EPFL, or a university degree, level Master or equivalent, preferably with a quantitative, actuarial or a specialization in finance for financial markets
You have experience in the operational management of assets, preferably of Fixed Income products, and you are familiar with cutting edge investment controlling practices, if possible in the context of the monitoring of outsourced mandates
You have in-depth knowledge of the bonds and operational implementation of the financial instruments, in particular buying / selling, derivatives hedging (FX, futures, options, swaps, etc.), as well as processes relating to the custodian bank
Advanced professional skills in Excel and PowerPoint is a must, the knowledge of other asset management IT tools is an advantage
Understanding of the insurance ALM methods, including specific constraints like risks and solvency models, as well as investments accounting are important assets for the role
You are a polyvalent, autonomous person, with an analytical mind, you work very efficiently even under pressure and you are able to work with very short deadlines
You have a very strong commitment and very high-quality standards
The working language is French and English, German is a plus
